RDP Library MAKER LAB

An after school activity space for Bookville's youth to explore STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math)

MAKER LAB

We invite school-age children and teens (ages 8 - 17) to experience the Bookville's Maker Lab, where one can discover, design, and create products that foster imagination and creativity and solve real-world problems. The MakerLab includes the first MakerBot Innovation Center in the West, an array of 3D printers, plus tools and components for creating Stop Motion movies.

Maker Lab is open after school Monday - Friday, 2 - 5:30 pm.

Our Coding Club meets Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 3:30 - 5 pm.

3D PRINTING

STOP MOTION ANIMATION

Our 3 - LULZBOT 3D printers are up and running. School age children and teens (ages 8 - 17) are welcome to print their own designs or replicate items from the Thingiverse, an online library of 3D printable objects. Teen Volunteers  assist users with their print requests and help navigate the wide world of 3D printing.

Our Stop Motion Studio is open for filming.  We have Hue Animation Studio software and cameras for school age children and teens (ages 8 - 17) to use in creating their own films.  The studio also has a stop motion stage, lighting and an assortment of clay, legos and characters to use.
